Despite his teammate being in the leader's Red Jersey, Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) attack the peloton on the final climb of stage 16 of the Vuelta. He rode hard in hopes of taking the jersey off of the shoulders of Sepp Kuss, but instead came away with the stage victory, but not the race lead. The in-fighting in the team has been entertaining if not discouraging. After all, both Vingegaard and the team leader Primoz have won a grand tour this year with the very loyal assistance of Kuss.
