Hesjedal Attacks the Peleton
Ryder Hesjedal, last year's winner of the pink jersey, decided to light it up and attack on the final climb of the day. He had a bit of back luck when the tv motorcycle got in the way of one of his team mates causing him to go off the road and get a flat. Still it put the fear of God into the other contenders and distanced a number of the big names. For a little while, it looked like the winning move.
