Professional racing is truly a team sport, that includes not only the racers, coaches and sport directors but also the vital mechanics, chefs and support staff. Here Rigoberto Uran waits for his Sky mechanic to change his rear flat and get him back into the race. The rider holds up the bike and remains as calm as he can so he doesn't rattle his savior. This is an original watercolor and ink postcard and is part of my project to paint every stage of the 2013 Giro d'Italia.
