Seperation of Church and Hate

This is a combination of two different series that I have been working on, one; paintings based on images found on facebook and two; images of political action voiced on the streets. This painting comes from the hate group that pretends to be a "Christian" church out of Kansas that came to Richmond, VA to show that "God hates Jews," Fags and whomever else they don't like. I was taken by the power and serenity of the police officer and the open and imploring nature of the founder of the Holocaust Museum in Richmond (the guy in the cowboy hat).
