Portrait of an Artist as an Old Man
This is another of my homage series. This painting is loosely based on a portrait of Duret by Edouard Vuilliard that hangs in the National Gallery in Washington, DC. I used some of the ideas in the original to create this self-portrait along with our little dog, Cleo. I am working on my cycling watercolors. It is a rare chance to show my own paintings and myself within one of my oilstick paintings.
