With just one categorized climb to go, the last remaining member of the early break away, Matteo Bono (Lampre-Merida) check over his shoulder encase he could see just how close the peloton actually was. While it was inevitable that he would eventually be caught, he spent 241 kilometers out in front of every member of the peloton that rolled out in Liege under the waving start flag of the King of Belgium.
