Followed All of the Way TdF94
As each racer flies around the time trial course he is followed by his team car. For the sake of the fans, the rider's name is mounted on the front of car, along with their team (although the car is a give away there) and the flag of their country of origin (or at least where they hold their racing license). Richie Porte, the co-leader of BMC, was not having the time trial he had hoped for. Everyone on course was chasing the time splits of the Dutch National Time Trial Champion, Tom Dumoulin (Giant-Alpecin). Normally, Porte, a former Australian National Time Trial Champion, would be able to lay down a great run, but the incident with the TV Moto yesterday may have taken some of the snap out of the Tasmanian's legs. And then there is that having ridden half way around France thing...
