Trying Again G17-8
You have to admire Daniel Teklehaimanot (Dimension Data), he didn't succeed in getting the King of the Mountains jersey yesterday, so he got himself into the break again today in hopes of succeeding today. He was joined by Guiseppe Fonzi (Willier Trestina), Eveny Shalunov (Gazprom Rusvelo) amongst others. With the exception of the Eritrean Champion, the entire break was made up of riders on wild card teams. As per tradition, they were trying to earn respect and TV time for their sponsors and riding agressively to justify their inclusion in the race.
