Respect TdF22-111
Both Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) were completely exhausted after the three big climbs of the day. While surrounded by security, who couldn't keep the cameras far enough away, Vingegaard reached over to shake the hand of Pogacar. He was congratulating him on winning the stage, but also showing respect for the racing they had just completed. It is clear that each has great respect for the other, but each wants to pull on the final Maillot Jaune in Paris. At this point, it is looking like it will stay on the Dane's shoulders but tomorrow is another tough, tough day of climbing in the Pyrennes.
I wasn't too sure about this painting, but Bridget assures me it is good. I may not be able to see it for what it is, I am just seeing how it didn't do quite what I intended. But I can count on her honest opinion because she always tells me when it isn't right.
