Shoulder to Shoulder TdF24-77

With a large group up the road on this mountain stage, there weren't many points left to earn in the sprinters' competition for the Maillot Vert. Biniam Girmay (Intermache-Wanty) sprinted to eighth place with his only real competition for the jersey, Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) getting ninth giving up a mere point in the race for green. From here the road that has already been steadily climbing starts up the big mountains of the Pyrenees. First on the menu is the fable Col du Tourmalet. This is the last moment that these two (and any other sprinters) will feature in the story of Stage 14 of this Tour de France.
