He Came Back? TdF24-62
Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) seemed rather surprised to see Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) riding back onto his wheel on the Col du Pertus. The Maillot Juane had dropped the defending Tour winner at the top of the previous climb and put time into him down the other side. Fortunately for Vingegaard he had some help on the descent and across the valley with the guy sitting fourth on the GC, Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe). However, the other Slovenian in this Tour wasn't able to hold onto the Dane's wheel. Just another 200 meters is the top of the climb that also offers bonus seconds for the general classification. The pair sprinted to that line with Pogacar gaining two extra seconds over his one true rival in this Tour.
