Round and Round TDF19-124
Starting six years ago during the celebrations of the 100th Tour de France, the course changed to have the peloton go around the l'Arc du Triomphe. It is much easier to do at speed than the U-turn the peloton used to do a couple of blocks down from the Arc. Now it is always this sight, as the peloton swings back onto the east bound side of the Champs Elysees. I can't image what it does to the traffic throughout all of Paris to close these streets. The image is hard to see on the video (so I did take a few liberties) to get his. I just love the low angle of the peloton with this magnificant Arc as a back drop. At this point, Team Ineos seems to have their Maillot Jaune completely surround by teammates. It is important to keep him from crashing. If anyone does not finish the stage, then they are out of the Tour. Should the Maillot Jaune not be able to finish the stage, it would pass to the riders in second overall.
