For His Team
Rafal Majka (Tinkoff Saxo) crossed the line in the Vallee de Saint Savin after a spectacular solo attack from the top of the penultimate climb of the day, the Col du Tourmalet. Majka was the rider who brought Tinkoff Saxo back into the lime light after his team leader, Alberto Contador, crashed out of last year's Tour. With Contador faltering in this year's Tour, Majka was let off the support leash and allowed to ride for himself. As he crossed the line, he pointed to his team's logo on his jersey, making sure all of the press knew that he rides for a team. Contador came across the line roughly five minutes later tucked in nicely with the Maillot Jaune and all but one of the other main contenders for Yellow in Paris.
