Going It Alone
With the peloton closing in on the early three man break, Martin Elmiger (IAM Cycling) decided he would go for a solo run to victory. He left his companions on the second categorized climb of the Cote de Choux, pressing his advantage and picking up maximum points at the summit. Elimger should be familiar with mountains, after all he is wearing the jersey of the National Road Champion of Switzerland, not exactly a flat country.
