Claiming the Points
After chasing down his countryman, Sylvain Chavanel (IAM Cycling), Blel Kadri (AG2R) kept going on up the Col de la Croix des Moinats and to the 5 King of the Mountains points. Kadri had started the day just one point off of the KOM leader's Polka Dot Jersey, so now he is the virtual leader on the road. With two more climbs, including the mountain top finish, if he can managed to fend off the closing peloton, he an build up a strong lead in the competition. Kadri grabs a big drink before starting down the twisting rain soak roads on the back side of the climb.
