The Cauldron Is Lit Rio2

After a beautiful and elegant opening ceremony that focus on the history of Brazil and the dangers of Global Warming, after every nation (200 in all) and a federation of Refugees who will compete under the Olympic flag, it was finally time for the arrival of the Olympic flame. As the torch was relayed through the world and the stadium, it was finally touched to the cauldron that will stay lit throughout the games. Yes, he is standing on the far side of the cauldron, not inside of it. While the cauldron is probably the smallest ever, it was reflected in an amazing kinetic mirror sculpture casting its reflection back over all of the Olympic athletes from around the world.
