With some really strong guys sitting on in the early break, it was only a mater of time before the thirteen would start attacking each other. It was Nils Politt (Bora-Hansgrohe) looking over his shoulder to see who had joined him off the front. He looked into the eyes of Connor Swift (Arkea-Samsic) and Luka Mezgec (BikeExchange) to see if they had the legs to push on. I'm not sure he could see their eyes through their sun glasses.
