Riding Away V-29

After bridging across to the break away, it was Adam Yates (Orica-Scott) who was off on his own on the way up the Alto de la Mora. Yates was holding off the chase of Contador and Lopez, dropping Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) and keeping a solid gap on the rest of the peloton. He truly looked like he had the stage in the bag, until he didn't. When he was inside of four kilometers he popped! The camera showed him barely moving, spinning a very easy gear and almost falling over for lack of motion. Never the less, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
