Letting Two Go TDF20-41

If you don't know by now, I love a title that can have more than one interpretation. In this case the two could refer to the two riders, or the last two sprint points that were on offer at the intermediate sprint in Segouaget. With a large break up the road, only the first two across the line would get any points in the Maillot Vert competition. Sam Bennett (Deceuninck-Quick Step), who had claimed he wasn't going for the jersey, sprinted hard for the two points left. On his wheel was the French sprinter, Bryan Coquard (B&B Hotels-Vital Concept). Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) who is currently in the jersey, sat up. He seemed to decide the reward did not merit the effort, since no one would be able to take the jersey from him today. He knew they peloton was looking at a hard day climbing some very big mountains and a big part of the Tour is about husbanding your energy.
