On Open Roads TOC38

Wanting to leave nothing to chance, the teams of the sprinters and of the Yellow Jersey, toiled away on the front of the peloton making sure that the seven men up the road never gained more than two minutes of the group being lead by Daniel Tekleharmanot (Dimension Data). The Eritrean Tekleharmanot had the honor of being the first African rider to ever pull on the Polka Dot Jersey of King of the Mountains in the Tour de France. He gained fame not only in his country but through out the entire continent. The peloton was riding through the wide open plains of the interior of California, the region that is consider the bread basket of the state. Although more than just wheat is farmed in the fields along today's route.
