Attacking at the Snow Line G18-40
With everyone reeled back in, it was time for the general classification guys to fight it out amongst the snow banks. Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) and Domenico Pozzovivo (Bahrain Merida) kept trading blows on the final kilometers of the Gran Sasso d'Italia. The Maglia Blanco of Richard Carapaz (Movistar) attempts to keep pace with the accelerations, with others biding their time, or just trying to hang on.
